Design consists of multiple solid-colour skewed bands against a navy blue background, that can be used to represent most of the pride flags
A branding design created to publicise events for the Sheffield Student's Union LGBT+ Committee in academic years 2020-2022, that brings focus back to using pride flags, which was missing from the previous 'Squiggles' design, but was harder to represent in the remaining designs. Design consists of multiple solid-colour skewed bands against a navy blue background, that can be used to represent most of the pride flags (with exception to one or two that include more complexity than just horizontal bands).
Flags with more complexity that will lose their recognisability when converted to vertical bars are still representable in this design.
Alongside this design update, the logo was also updated to be more easily editable for future committees. The logo is set primarily in Coolvetica, with a custom 'lg' ligature, based on feedback that the original 'l' glyph was too easily mistaken for other glyphs.
Two variants were designed outside of plain colour variations: a plain version, and a 'rainbow bar' version. Both designs are interchangeable depending on how visually complex a design is to avoid over-cluttering a design.
Sheffield Student's Union logo symbol property of Sheffield Student's Union and used permissibly in context.
